Egypt Travel Advice

Your health and safety is just as important on holiday as it is at home. Make sure you take care when travelling abroad. Please make sure you take care when travelling abroad as some countries and resorts don't have the same standards are you are used to at home.

Below are some precautions and recommendations we advise you follow whilst on holiday:

Exercise caution when handling electrical appliances for your own safety make sure you obtain adequate adapters for the local voltage so that they can be used safely.
Always supervise any children closely as they are naturally curious. Accidents involving children are most likely to occur around balconies, playgrounds and swimming pools.
Be precautious when trying new food and drink as it can result in stomach upsets. In some countries it is recommended that you don't drink the water, this includes as ice in drinks and when brushing teeth. Varying factors can contribute to stomach upsets including heat, humidity, alcohol and the way food is cooked or prepared.
Whilst on the beach check is there are lifeguards and a flag warning system in place. Make sure you find out what the different colour flags mean, for example which ones mean when and where to swim. Be aware of local conditions i.e. tides, winds and currents.
A high proportion of accidents that are reported every year are road accidents. The rules of the road can differ so always make sure you familiarise yourself with the local restrictions and regulations.
Make sure you take extra care of your personal belongings including your bag, camera, etc and never leave them unattended.
Always double check you have locked all windows and doors when you go out. It is recommended that you use a safe for you expensive valuables.
Only take enough money and valuables needed for the day/night, leave everything else in a safe and secure place.
